Personal growth and sustained business development – ISVI meetings for young people

Tuesday, March 7, 2023 (5-6:30 p.m.) EGEA Bookstore, Viale Bligny 22, Milan

“Sustainability between values, strategy and concrete projects.
How to engage employees and consumers.”
Barbara Cimmino, shareholder and head of CSR & Innovation at Yamamay, will speak.
Introduced and moderated by Daniela Montemerlo, Full Professor of Business Administration at theUniversity of Insubria, Professor of Strategic and Entrepreneurial Management, Family Business and Corporate Governance at SDA Bocconi.
Our fourth and final meeting in this 2022/2023 cycle dedicated to young people will introduce us to Barbara Cimmino, who is part of the ownership team and serves as Head of CSR & Innovation in Yamamay, and will talk to us about her commitment to sustainability issues across the board, as a committed entrepreneur in the company, in various industry associations at the national and European level (she is on the Board of Euratex and on the Presidential Committee of Sistema Moda Italia, and chairs the Textile-Clothing Product Group of Confindustria Varese) and in the world of volunteering (Diana Odv Association).
We will reflect with her on some extremely topical and challenging issues: how to contribute to significantly improve the environment in one of the most polluting sectors?
How to bring the values of sustainability into corporate strategy and the work of employees?
How to measure achievements and communicate them to all stakeholders?
In particular, how to “bring on board” customers?
And speaking of onboarding, we will hear a fascinating account of a project to safeguard the sea.
As is now customary, to encourage interaction we ask participants to document themselves before the meeting (consulting articles, sites etc..) and to prepare to actively participate in the meeting, part of which will be taken up by working in small groups after Barbara Cimmino’s presentation to share reflections, insights and questions with her.
Barbara Cimmino will then comment “live” on what emerged.
